  • Now this is bound to interest some people as a modder has a Waluigi Amiibo figure. The Amiibo uses the standard Luigi Amiibo as the base, so in the game you can set your Luigi to Waluigi’s colour. If this posting is as legitimate as it seems to be then the seller has done a pretty damn good job. The Amiibo is currently up for grabs for $199.99 and the seller has 100% positive feedback. If you’re interested you can check out plenty of images on the .

Waluigi’s head sculpt and expression are obviously the most interesting part of the figure, and to my eyes, Jakks has done a great job here. The gnashed teeth and exaggerated and wide-eyed expression put the trademark “Waaa!” at the tip of the tongue, and his up-turned mustache is faithful, too. His hat comes all the way down to the tops of his eyes, so you kind of have to have him posed just so, so you can get the full effect of his look. Now, Waluigi follows Wario’s precedent with a bright pink nose, and while I admit that it has always been kind of a disturbing trait, it comes across as convincing as ever here. His pointed ears complete the look of this impish bastardization of Luigi, and it all comes together in an appropriately comical way to make for a very nice-looking Waluigi figure.

  • He just took a World of Nintendo 3″ Waluigi Figure (Series 1) and glued it on a Luigi amiibo base. He moved the arms and legs a bit, but that’s about it.

Aside from Wario, Waluigi is not shown to have any friends in the games. Like Wario, Waluigi is on almost as bad terms with Bowser as most other characters in the series. While Bowser, Wario, and Waluigi teamed up to try and defeat Mario in the opening cutscene of , they are in conflict more often, such as Bowser blocking the others from destroying arch-enemy Mario in , or Bowser and Waluigi fighting over the Mischief Star Stamp in . As seen in , Bowser thinks very lowly of Waluigi, being quick to point out Waluigi´s bad reputation and appearance.
