  • In No Stress Chess, your choices are limited - you have a hand of cards that you play, each corresponding to a specific chess piece. Have the perfect move? You need that card first! Hanging a chess piece becomes a gamble in hoping that your opponent will not have the chess piece card required to take your piece.

Winning Moves Games is proud to present 'No Stress Chess', a game that will help you learn the world’s greatest game – Chess. You can play instantly because the special game board guides you to set up your pieces and each card in the innovative deck shows you how to move the piece it pictures. You just set the pieces on the board, shuffle the deck, and begin to play! No Stress Chess teaches players the moves of all the Chess pieces. The game is played on a regulation Chess board, but doesn’t require the movement knowledge or planning of Standard Chess. No Stress Chess can be played at several levels of difficulty, gradually introducing players to Standard Chess in incremental steps. When you’re ready, just flip the board to its Standard Chess board side and play the authentic 'king of games'.

The intellectual reputation of chess can make it a bit scary for beginners: since the only chess players you usually hear about are eccentric Grand Masters, you might mistakenly believe that you have to be a reclusive genius to even take up the game. There is a learning curve to chess, and strategy can be tricky, but really, anyone can play – and No Stress Chess from Winning Moves Games will teach you how!

A common issue among beginners, No Stress Chess helps beginners improve their ability to remember the way each piece moves. The instructional aid includes a board with two sides: one is blank, just like a normal board, and the other has hints on how each piece moves. In addition to the hints from the board, the set includes 56 action cards that instruct each player on the move to make. Each card includes what piece to move and in what direction to move it. Players draw cards that essential pick their next move. Over time, the learn-as-you-play instructional method builds a player's familiarity with the abilities of each piece and the strategy of the game. The shape of the pieces resembles a traditional chess set, which allows beginners to graduate from the cards to playing a regular game of chess.

This has been one of the best games we have purchased for our son. He is six and I never learned to play chess so I could not show him. After reading the rules we played several games that first night. The next night we started playing level 2. After one week and about 50 games later I am proud to say that we don't even use the cards anymore unless my wife wants to play. We still add the cards everynow and again just so the King doesn't always get caught. No Stress Chess is awesome.

Once all three levels are mastered, then you’re ready for the real game of chess! The No Stress Chess board is two-sided: one side shows where the pieces go at the start of the game, and the other side is a standard chess board.
